The malls in the USA seem to have quite a few little gaming dens, often with VR also. I saw them when I was in Florida. Prices were reasonable.
Dave & Busters is huge - 2 stories in Honolulu - jam packed with machines, and expensive as hell. And the chain is rapidly growing.

I haven't visited any other arcade since the 80s

The only thing I would even be remotely interested in is VR. And since I prefer sitting, even that is out for me.
It might be worth it for me to *try* VR to see if I like it before I purchase an expensive headset. I'll see.
