Not true at all.  The middle class is why America exists.  Corporate America is all about grabbing power for themselves. Screw corporate America ... it's a lie.

Fair enough. But the middle class works for corporations, like it or not. And what is the alternative? That would be a Trump-esque response and you would witness the vast majority of American wealth funneled elsewhere. A lot of it would wind up in Canada, actually.

Bernie Sanders has the right ideas.

You like Big Pharma? Or the big companies that poison our foods? All in the name of making money. Healthcare is big business and it is not set up for the consumers.

Not all corporations are evil. Yes they employ people. But SMALL BUSINESS employs far more.

Try killing corporate America and see what happens. That is a crazy idea from the radical left and it's just as drastic and harmful as some of Trump's hard line alt right policies and ideas.

I love Bernie Sanders but crap like this is why he will probably never be elected. I really think Obama was your best shot at universal health care, and sadly he failed.

If the government messes with corporations in the USA they will move elsewhere. A lot of them will come up here to Canada.

Who said ANYTHING about *killing* corporate America?

Not I. I am not crazy nor radical left as you appear to be implying here.

Don't put words in my mouth please.

But you can have our evil corporations. Good luck. The rest of them will accept restrictions as long as they can make money. They don't want to move to Canada. There are real advantages to being HQ'd in the USA.

Well forgive me but I can't claim to know about or understand Bernie Sander's platform or standpoint in detail. I just know he wants universal health care, which I like. Your post sounded very anti corporate. The extreme left hates corporations and would probably get rid of them all if they could. Bernie Sanders is as far to the left as things get in mainstream politics in the US AFAIK. We have the NDP here for that. They always manage to mess up the economy. Great vision and great ideas. Social justice warriors. But you can't fund the social justice issues without the golden goose which is our economy.

I am not anti-corporate. I believe they have their place in America. However, when they are allowed to do as they please without regulation - as Trump wants - I don't like that part of it one bit. They take and take and take and they do not give back. They funnel their money offshore. There has to be a rebalancing or the middle class will disappear and all we will have are the very rich and the very poor like in 3rd world countries. This is what Trump is aiming for while giving lipservice to the common working man.

Yes, I want universal health care. It would save America a lot of pain, misery, and a lot of money ultimately.

As to the Republican presidents - they talk about saving money but they end up putting American in debt every single time. It took a Democrat like Obama to clean up Bush's crap and deep recession.

Bernie would be great as President compared to Trump. His socialist tendencies would be balanced by the Congress. Unlike the kiss ass senators who are afraid of Trump and have completely forgot about any "fiscal responsibility".

Well I'm going to say to you that we should absolutely *not* discuss the gun issue again *ever*. I value our friendship and I can tell you right now that I will absolutely *never* see things your way. That's how strongly I feel about it.

OK. But you somehow wrongly assume that I think gun violence is OK or normal. I am very much FOR restricting gun ownership. That is why I live in California. And just like Canada, guns are imported illegally from other areas of the US into California.

Are we done now?

T-rump's finally got his tax cheating exposed .. or should I say "alleged" cheating. Of course, his brain-damaged followers won't even know it about since they are glued to FAUX & Fiends and other disinformation channels.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/...d=msedgdhp
Quote:■ Mr. Trump paid no federal income taxes in 11 of 18 years that The Times examined. In 2017, after he became president, his tax bill was only $750.

■ He has reduced his tax bill with questionable measures, including a $72.9 million tax refund that is the subject of an audit by the Internal Revenue Service.

■ Many of his signature businesses, including his golf courses, report losing large amounts of money — losses that have helped him to lower his taxes.

■ The financial pressure on him is increasing as hundreds of millions of dollars in loans he personally guaranteed are soon coming due.

■ Even while declaring losses, he has managed to enjoy a lavish lifestyle by taking tax deductions on what most people would consider personal expenses, including residences, aircraft and $70,000 in hairstyling for television.

■ Ivanka Trump, while working as an employee of the Trump Organization, appears to have received “consulting fees” that also helped reduce the family’s tax bill.

■ As president, he has received more money from foreign sources and U.S. interest groups than previously known. The records do not reveal any previously unreported connections to Russia.

I am sure that 40+% of America doesn't mind a tax-cheat as PotuS
Beee

The other thinking 60% does. Be we don't count. Only the redneck battleground states in our broken Electoral college system.

Good news for all Americans
https://nypost.com/2020/10/02/president-...id-19/?utm

tRump has tested positive for COVID-19 - and he will self-isolate - completely up-ending his campaign.

Now I sincerely hope he and the first lady don't die from it. They are fellow humans also despite their disdain for everyone else and their lust for power.

But after mocking us for believing in science and setting a bad example by refusing to wear a mask, he has finally been forced to ADMIT (for the first time he has admitted anything he was wrong about) - that the coronavirus is REAL.

This rather quick outworking of Karma may have just saved hundreds of thousands of American lives and his followers may finally get a little sense from what has just happened to their god. ANYONE can get it. And the ONLY way to protect yourself is to socially distance, wear an effective mask properly, and practice good personal hygiene.
Good3
