What's happening at BTR 5 .. and report issues here
Yes it is!

Mario just came by to pick up some hardware. He wants to be a HW reviewer also, and I upgraded his PC from i7-3770K to i7-4770K (Z87 MB) and a GTX 1060 6GB FE (with Nvidia's permission, of course; from GTX 690). He was also pretty impressed with the Acer Predator Gsync 21:9 display but will conduct his reviews at 1920x1080.

So now Mario has a completely modern PC (i7 4770K is equal to Devil's Canyon when overclocked to 4.4GHz, and just about as fast for gaming as i7-6700K). I think we are going to see more BTR reviews pretty soon.

I am pretty sure you are getting tired of just one reviewer at BTR.

I hope not .. but 2 reviewers are much better than 1
Sounds great! Good luck Mario! And thanks for keeping this place running so nicely.

Something really different. . . .

I am surprised. 22 upvotes, still on the first page, 8 comments ....and generally all polite
- on the AMD side!

Thank-you for posting it!
No problem. :)
Check out Elric's video of the EVGA GTX 1060 SC
(nice guitar work too!)

I updated my evaluation to include it

I am almost done benching the Red Devil RX 480 - BUT I am NOT going to include overclocking numbers - just how far I was able to overclock it as a preliminary number. Here't tomorrow's title:
Quote:The Red Devil RX 480's Unlocked BIOS Unleashed
It will just be an unboxing and a comparison with stock GTX 1060 and stock RX 480

I want to PLAY Deus Ex tomorrow and I need to update Nvidia drivers for another Overclocking faceoff - between the Red Devil RX 480 and the EVGA GTX 1060 SC.

I like splitting up evaluations and updating them instead of one LONG (and usually too long and boring) evaluation
- I think it brings more traffic and is a LOT easier to read and digest.

Comments? Yes, no? Maybe so?

After Deus Ex - expect a EVGA GTX 1060 3GB evaluation (vs RX 480 and vs. GTX 1060 6GB) - then, the Red Devil RX 480 vs the EVGA SC 1070 - THEN the Titan X vs. GTX 1070 SLI

Sound like a plan? It will keep me busy deep into the end of next week ... and plenty of good evaluations planned for the future.
Thread is too long and now closed.

Feel free to carry over any discussion to part 6
