BTR is a growing community and it isn't as structured like most forums, but it also isn't the free-for-all anarchy some were used to (at ABT).  So the basic rule is to use common sense and to not attack other posters personally.  A little OT is allowed in the tech forums, but posts that derail the main subject will all be moved to "Off Topic Nonsense" where the rules are a bit more lax.

Anyway, here are "the rules":

All information and instructions given within these forums is to be used at your own risk. By following or using any of this information you give up the right to hold BabelTechReviews.com liable for any damages.
  • Please post your questions or posts in the appropriate forum.

  • Before posting questions or topics, please use BTR's "search"  (top right corner) first.  Duplicate topics or questions may be merged with older posts or even deleted.

  • If your topic is posted in a forum that is inappropriate, BTR mods may move it.

  • Do not post copyrighted material.

  • Posting links in order to generate affiliate commissions are not permitted..

  • No profanity on the tech forums.

  • Make your posts clear.  Please avoid twitter-like extreme abbreviations.

  • Absolutely no racial, ethnic, nor gender-based insults nor personal attacks.  It includes 'flaming' and/or starting arguments.  It may result in banning.

  • No Spamming - period.

  • No pornography, warez, nor discussions on how to make illegal things or illegal transactions are allowed.

  • Posts may be deleted for any of the above reasons BTR's - or other similar posts - that forum administrators decide are reasonable.

  • Images are OK but they may not be explicit, offensive, or copyrighted.

  • NO ADVERTISING including links in sigs.

  • Do not impersonate other members. This includes altering what they posted in quotes to change their meaning.

  • Violation of these rules may lead to a banning of the user from BTR's Community and are judged on a case by case basis.

  • When you post here, you agree that BTR's forum moderators/administrators have the right to delete, edit, or close any topic (account, sig, or profile) at any time if we feel it is necessary. If you have any questions concerning the above rules, PM BTR's staff or post in the "Report Issues Here" thread.

Happy posting (and gaming!)

The BTR Staff.
