What's happening at BTR *14*
#1
Number 14?? WtH happened to 13? And I am a day late too with this thread. Damn long VR game .. finish today

Anyway, the old thread is locked because it's too long and cannot be searched easily any longer. Free free to carry over any baggage from there to here.

We have a new ad campaign coming up today that runs a couple of weeks .. and I cannot I believe that I turned down sponsored content which pays almost as much as hosting the banners
:s

Anyway ... I am still hoping to get a Max-Q notebook for review and have been trying for a month ... I still get "maybe" ... and the eGPU review depends on it having Thunderbolt 3, and that is rare in a gaming notebook.

As soon as I finish Skyrim VR [MQ today!), I'll start benching 20 VR games, and I'll return to the other part of my work - the technical stuff

Here is the textures link

and I'll repeat the meshes link again so both can be found in one post.

I appreciate all of your help. I am at the final battle (without looking at any walkthrough, it's clearly winding up for the showdown with the Big Bad).

I'd give the game an 8.5/10 just from the MQ and an extra 1/2 point for being in VR and so immersive (and addictive). And it proved I can play 40+ hours in VR without (noticeable) issues.

One thing that kinda bugs me about the story is how the Greybeards can accept their own leader considering the great evil he has done. Isn't it a little hypocritical and should I kill their leader or not for past crimes. He has certainly been helpful in turning against his former friend ... for thousands of years in meditation, I would want more than shallow reasoning

I thought the texture upload was never going to finish! Glad I can help you and SB with Skyrim.

Ah yes, the Paarthurnax dilemma. In my eyes he is doing it for dragonkind not humankind. Getting rid of Alduin means no world ending threat so less reason for dragons to be hunted. As for they greybeards of course they stick up for Paarthurnax. Without him and dragons they have no power.

Anyway, there is a mod for that (of course) which should give more satisfying choice.

The Greybeards are a bunch of self-righteous religious hypocrites and it is a good thing for Skyrim that they are reclusive. Getting rid of Alduin might make an opening for that big bag of wind, Paarthurnax to grab more power and align himself with the Dragonborn for now. He figured it out that the Prisoner is going to take care of his former liege. He is for himself. I an unsure that I would not mind hanging his head over my mantle.

There are only 2 blades so they can like it or lump it. I like the Old Guy, even if his words drag on ... and drag on ... and drag on ...
:D

Curious, there are only two Blades. Can I get rid of them instead? I would think the Dragonborn can restart his fan club with less rigid thinkers - and the knowledge of the Blades are not unique - it's all in books. FINALLY, aren't they SWORN to follow the Dragonborn - can they even give him an Ultimatum? Maybe I will fire them (literally).

I completed the MQ - in just under 40 hours. Steam says 38. Now to benching.

And a request ... please don't tell me there are better quests than the MQ. I am returning to play them *after* I get a VIVE Pro

Thanks again, Greg. I was able to download the meshes but the textures link says it's not fully uploaded yet. Perhaps there is some processing happening at the server level.

I know. I don't know what the problem is, it uploaded completely and gave me the download link, then goes and pulls this shit.

14 fucking hours wasted!

Am trying to upload it elsewhere.

Ok thanks. It's hard to find a good host for large files. I think you can do it reliably using Google drive and also onedrive and Dropbox.

How big is this 14-hour upload?

Dropbox and other sites have limits on their free service capacity.  I hate dropbox because it's hard to delete files to make space for other files.
